Vacation Bible School!


We will be having a Rolling River Rampage VBS this year from July 11th to the 16th! Come one come all for a week of games, crafts, and bible stories! As always, all are welcome.

Upcoming Events


Food Bank Collection: Each third Sunday, the congregation at Asbury take a collection of canned goods and non-perishable items for the local food bank. All donations are welcome and appreciated. 

Sunday School: We welcome nursery, lower elementary, and upper elementary students to meet on Sundays before worship at 10:00 for snacks, crafts, games and a chance to deepen their relationship with God. We will begin confirmation in the spring. Please contact Pastor Wes or the church e-mail for further information.

Volunteer Opportunity: Pastor Wes has been volunteering on Wednesdays at 11:30 am E.K. Powe Elementary School as a classroom assistant with student clubs. Please join him this week to learn how you can get involved..

Invitation to Talk – As the United Methodist Church prepares for a special General Conference to find a way forward through our debates on same-sex marriage and LGBT Clergy, Pastor Wes wants to invite anyone who would like to talk to set a time for a one-to-one meeting to share your thoughts, hopes, and concerns. Please call the office or send an email to ask for a time.

Conversation About Transformation – Starting this Thursday from 6:30-8:00 pm! All leaders and friends of our church who are interested in the future of Asbury are invited to be a part of a process to discern the way forward in ministry at Asbury UMC. Rev. Ken McLean, from Congregational Transformation Ministries will lead us through a process of discernment. Please join us in the Ralph Mitchell classroom.

Vacation Bible School: Save the Dates! – Our Raging River Bible School will take place this coming July 11-15, in the evenings after work and on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Don’t miss out on the fun.
